Homemade granola

I don’t like to buy processed cereals because they are loaded with unnecessary sugar, so I always try to have homemade granola around. I prepare it in advance since my husband takes granola to work almost every day along with Greek yogurt and some fresh fruit.

How to make homemade granola? It is very easy to make and here’s what we need:

This is just one possible combination, let your imagination run wild when it comes to the kind of nuts or dried fruit you can add!

  • 200 g oat flakes

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped dried apricots

  • 2 tablespoons some other dried fruit, I used dried mulberries and dried cranberries

  • 1 tablespoon flaxseeds

  • 2-3 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut leaves

  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil

  • Mix everything you have prepared, place on a baking pan lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at 180 C.
  • Combine with yogurt, milk, kephir, fresh fruit, smoothies. There are no rules, simply adapt to your taste and ingridients you have at home.
