Homemade chicken soup
If you think we don’t eat meat – thik again! We come from Serbia and we grew up eating homemade chicken soup everybody simply adores! It’s on our menu at least twice a week. For us, soup is like tea, always invigorating both the body and mind.
400 g of chicken ( chicken drumsticks or similar)
1 big celery root
1 stick of celery (cut in half)
1 bouqet of parsley
2 big carrots
Few pieces of garlic
- Place everything into a big stock pot and pour in 2 litres of water. Cook for about half an hour or up to 40 minutes.
- Next, strain the broth and add the soup paste together with finely chopped carrot rings and fresh parsley leaves. Bring to a boil over high heat and boil around 5 minutes.
